Sergei est juste exceptionnel. C'est un vol qu'on comparera à Zeterberg dans quelques années, j'en suis convaincu (et les deux ont été sélectionnés en 7eme ronde, si je ne m'abuse). On dit toujours de Détroit que c'est un club à part, mais Montréal démontre qu'il est sur la même voie.
En parlant de bâtir une équipe, je suis pas vraiment d'accord avec l'idée d'aller chercher un troisième centre "d'expérience", si Sundin ne signe pas à Montréal (personnellement, j'en serais très surpris... donc c'est extrêmement hypothétique comme histoire). On a pas besoin de Smolinski, ni d'un autre pseudo centre d'expérience. Je ferais confiance à Chipchura, et puis si ça ne va pas, on pourra toujours pallier en cours de saison. Il ne faut pas oublier que les mises en jeu, ça s'apprend, et que le succès du Canadiens repose justement sur la confiance envers ses jeunes joueurs. Il faut continuer dans la même veine... on aurait pas pu voir le talent de Sergei, ni l'émergence d'O'Byrne, si on ne leur avait pas fait confiance en premier lieu. Price, c'est un cas à part bien entendu.
Ceci dit, sur le marché des joueurs autonomes, outre Sundin et si on le signe pas, j'irais chercher Selanne, qui semble attendre que l'histoire Sundin se règle pour décider son propre sort. Sinon, je fermerais les livres.
By the way, le chien d'Eklund a prédit que Sundin irait à Montréal. J'ai bien plus confiance aux prédictions du chien que du maître, donc c'est de bonne augure messieurs. Reste juste à savoir ce qu'en pense le singe de TSN.
